Ohio Wesleyan University senior Nick Felhaber (Holland/Toledo St. John's) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 24, it was announced by the NCAC.

Felhaber, a wing on the Ohio Wesleyan men's basketball team, was named Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Felhaber scored 8 points during a 16-1 second-half run that put Ohio Wesleyan ahead to stay and tied a school record as the Bishops defeated Kenyon, 95-86, in their season and North Coast Athletic Conference opener on Tuesday.  Felhaber went 5-for-5 from the field, all from 3-point range, and hit both his free throw attempts to finish with 17 points. The 5-for-5 performance from beyond the arc tied the school single-game record for 3-point field goal percentage set by Dirk Miller at Muskingum on Dec. 15, 1988, and equaled 3 times since, by Jimmy Francis at Wittenberg on Jan. 6, 2001; by Bryan King vs. Allegheny on Jan. 18, 2003; and by Brian Cafarella at Centre on March 8, 2008.  Felhaber then scored 7 points during a 17-1 second-half run that put the Bishops ahead to stay as Ohio Wesleyan defeated Alma, 82-67, in the first round of the Great Lakes Challenge on Friday.  He finished with 14 points.  In Ohio Wesleyan's 85-71 win over sixth-ranked Calvin on Saturday, Felhaber scored 5 points during a 13-0 first-half run that opened up a double-digit lead.  Felhaber led the Bishops with a career-high 29 points. He went 9-for-12 from 3-point range, with the 9 trifectas tying the school record set by J.R. Shumate against Thomas More on Dec. 13, 1995. Felhaber's 3-point field goal percentage (.750) broke the school record for 10+ attempts (.700) set by Bryan King against Mount Union on Nov. 26, 2005, and tied by Dustin Rudegeair against Heidelberg on March 7, 2008, and by Taylor Rieger at DePauw on Jan. 26, 2013.  On the week, he went 19-for-27 (.704) from the field, including 18-for-25 (.720) from 3-point range, on the way to 60 points, an average of 20.0 points per game.
