Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
Because of its reputation in the sciences and also because of the success of the track and field program.
How did it feel to win the North Coast Athletic Conference heptathlon title?
It felt almost as good as realizing I was finished with the 1000-meter run. (Which is an amazing feeling!)
Which is your favorite event?
It changes between high jump, long jump and hurdles, whichever is going well at the time. Currently it is hurdles.
Is there a specific coach or teammate who has helped you get where you are?
As a heptathlete/decathlete, my teammates who do these events as well are everything. Aaron Port, Tyler Jenkins and Jayson Blankenship all hold an even stake in their aiding my success.
What is your number-one goal, personal or team, for this season?
I have many goals for both myself and the team. The current team goal is to win the conference (championship). My current personal goal is to win the (heptathlon at the NCAA Division III championship) meet.
What is your theme song?
It would probably be "White and Nerdy" by Weird Al Yankovic if we are being realistic. Otherwise, I'd go with "Wild Things" by Andy Mineo.
