Meet the Bishops: Get to know a little about Lucas Cooper of the Ohio Wesleyan football team.
Name: Lucas Cooper
Class year: Junior

How/Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
I chose Ohio Wesleyan because as soon as I stepped on campus I was blown away by the campus, educational opportunities, and the rich tradition of football here. I felt at home instantly.
How/Why did you choose your major?
Originally, I wanted to major in marketing but after taking ECON 110, I knew I wanted to continue down that road.
Why did you choose to compete in sports at Ohio Wesleyan?
I really wanted to continue playing football at a higher level and Ohio Wesleyan provided me the best opportunity to do that.
What is your favorite memory on an Ohio Wesleyan team?
I would have to say starting my first game last year as a sophomore at Otterbein Week 1. That’s something I didn’t really expect to happen and it was the most nervous/excited I ever was on a football field.
Do you have any pre-event rituals or superstitions?
Before every game I have to listen to "I Won’t Back Down" by the GOAT, Tom Petty, just for a little extra motivation.
What are your plans for after graduation?
After graduation I really want to pursue a career in Capital/Wealth Management, and someday I hope to own my own small business.
Which three people, living or dead, would you like to share a meal with?
This one is hard, but I think I’d choose Benjamin Franklin, Jackie Robinson, and Marilyn Monroe.
What is your ideal travel destination?
I think going to the Swiss Alps would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
If you could visit another time, when would it be and why?
I would love to visit New York City after World War II. That looked like the greatest party ever thrown.
