I wanted a school where I could focus on academics while continuing my soccer career...

Meet the Bishops:  Get to know a little about Chase Agin of the Ohio Wesleyan men's soccer team.

Name:  Chase Agin

Class Year:  Junior

Major:  Finance Economics

Minor:  Accounting

How/Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
I chose Ohio Wesleyan because I wanted a school where I could focus on academics while continuing my soccer career. Ohio Wesleyan really is the best of both worlds.

How/Why did you choose your major?
I chose to major in finance economics because I have always been fascinated with the quantitative side of business. I would like to eventually open my own consulting firm and finance economics as a major has given me an opportunity to do that.

How/why did you choose your event/position?
I chose to be a goalkeeper because my older brother was a goalkeeper when we were growing up and I wanted to be like him. I guess I started to like the position after that and just stuck with it.

What are your strengths as an athlete (as an individual)?
I think that my strengths as an athlete are leadership and communication.

What athletic or academic achievement/accomplishment are your most proud of?
I’m most proud of being a Top 50 Scholar-Athlete this past year.

What did you do to put yourself in that position to achieve that goal/accomplishment?
I surrounded myself with a lot of very good people who supported me and I worked hard.

Which three people, living or dead, would you like to share a meal with?
Iker Casillas, Kobe Bryant, Mark Cuban

If you could visit another time, when would it be and why?
I would go back to about 100 years ago just to talk to my ancestors and see how they lived.

What is your ideal travel destination?
Croatia

What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?
The best advice I’ve ever received is that in life the little things make all the difference.
