How/Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
When choosing a college, it was important to me to find an institution that satisfied my academic needs and that gave me the chance to play field hockey. Ohio Wesleyan's engaging professors and prestigious academic reputation appealed to me because I am receiving an education that will help set me up for the future. Additionally, the field hockey program gave me the opportunity to fulfill my dream of playing at the collegiate level.
How/why did you choose your major?
I am currently undecided but I have interests in health and human kinetics and nutrition. I love learning about health and helping others through learning about how to better themselves.
Why did you choose to compete in sports at Ohio Wesleyan?
It was always my dream to play collegiate field hockey. I chose to play at Ohio Wesleyan because of their emphasis on developing both the person and the athlete. At Ohio Wesleyan, I am given the support and encouragement to perform well both on and off the field.
Do you have any pre-event rituals or superstitions?
My best friend braids my hair before every game and I usually write on my left arm a word for me to focus on during the game.
How/why did you choose your event/position?
I play attack in field hockey. Since I was a kid, I have loved the intensity and excitement that comes with being a forward.
Why do you like your event/position?
It is really rewarding to help translate the defense’s hard work in the backfield to scoring goals.
What are your strengths as an athlete (as an individual)?
I am a very committed and passionate individual. Off the field, this helps me to stay focused on my goals for the future and live a life that is true to my values. On the field, I always give my maximum effort and put in the work to help my team succeed.
If you could have a super power, what would it be?
It would be the ability to fly. Sometimes I am running a little late or sore from practice, so it would be nice to be able to get places quickly and easily. Also, I just think it would be really cool.
What is your favorite place to eat in Delaware, and what is your go-to dish there?
My favorite place to eat in Delaware is Mi Cerrito, and my ultimate go-to dish is cheese enchiladas with rice and beans.
Which reality show would you like to star in and why?
I would love to be on the show Wipe Out because I think it would be funny to run through the obstacles and would just be a fun competition.
