Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
I chose Ohio Wesleyan University because of the small-college, community feel. The students here are offered so many opportunities during undergrad to get a head start once they graduate, and the class sizes are ideal for my learning. Not to mention the campus is also beautiful!
Why did you choose your major?
I came into college as a biochemistry and pre-medicine student and recently changed to my current major. I decided to change to my current major because it seemed to fit not only my passions but my joys too. My class with Dr. Michele Nobel this semester really helped me decide on this change as well.
Which is your favorite event/competition?
My favorite event is the 400 and my favorite competitions are our conference meets.
What is your favorite memory on an Ohio Wesleyan team?
So far, my favorite memory on the track and field team here at Ohio Wesleyan is when senior Julia Dickman and I went around the team and interviewed them the week of conference last year.
Do you have any pre-event rituals or superstitions?
For every meet I have to wear the same socks (I do wash them!) and I have to get into my blocks the same way before every race.
Why do you like your event/position?
I like the events I run because they last either 26-ish seconds or 62-ish seconds max. I am not a long distance girl.
What is your theme song?
I would say my theme song is 'Put Your Records On' by Corinne Bailey Rae.
Which three people, living or dead, would you like to share a meal with?
Reba McEntire, Danny DeVito, and my great grandpa.
What is your ideal travel destination?
My ideal travel destination is somewhere tropical and warm but I have always wanted to go to Ireland.
