Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
I wanted the chance to continue playing soccer and OWU was a big part of that. The campus is beautiful and I loved how easy it was to navigate. I liked how far it was from home, not too far but not too close. I also really loved downtown, it had lots of things to do in my free time.
Why did you choose your major?
I knew I always wanted to do something with animals for my career. Growing up, I always had many pets and my passion grew for animal care.
Why did you choose to compete in sports at Ohio Wesleyan?
I found a team that I loved and wanted to be a part of. I knew I had a chance to continue doing what I love at OWU and build new relationships.
Why do you like your position?
I play outside mid/outside back and love how I can get up in the attack and drop back with our back line.
What are your strengths as an athlete (as an individual)?
I believe I am hardworking always, no matter if I'm having an off day I still will be working. I also am passionate, I love soccer, and I want our team to be good so I always try to push my teammates and leave my heart on the field.
What event/sport other than your own would you like to try?
I would try basketball. I have played basketball in the past and I would love the chance to get back into it.
Is there a specific coach or teammate who has helped you get where you are?
My club coaches and club teammates really helped me get where I am today. Those coaches knew what I was capable of, so they always pushed me to improve and helped me focus on things I could improve on. Those club teammates were also very good so being able to play with amazing girls helped me improve my game and pushed me to try and be as good as them.
What is your favorite place to eat in Delaware, and what is your go-to dish there?
I love the little cafe "Fresh Start." I always get the classic sandwich, a plan bagel, egg whites, sausage, and cheese.
Which reality show would you like to star on and why?
Probably Cupcake Wars. I'm not a very good baker or cook in general but this would be fun to try and experience.
What advice would you give to someone considering becoming a student-athlete?
Being a student-athlete brings lots of great things into your life, it brings you friends to go to and have fun with. When considering playing just remember that being a part of a team and playing should never be taken for granted, always remember to put your full effort and whole heart into it.
