Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
I chose Ohio Wesleyan because of the small campus feel and the many opportunities it presented to build meaningful connections with other students and faculty.
Why did you choose your majors?
I chose my majors and minor because of my interest in data and programming. Having knowledge in finance and understanding that language also helps set me up well for my future career.
Why did you choose to compete in sports at Ohio Wesleyan?
I chose to compete in sports here at OWU not only because of the extreme love I have for the sport, but because of the meaningful relationships I knew I'd be able to build.
Do you have any pre-event rituals or superstitions?
As far as rituals go, I usually like to keep to myself. That way I can get zoned in and focus on whatever events I'll be swimming.
Why did you choose your events?
I chose my events because of my level of interest with each one. Swimming the individual medleys and the free events are what I'm best at and what I have the most fun doing.
What is your number one goal, personal or team, for this season?
My number one goal for the season, on an individual note, is to break at least 5 individual records. As far as a team goal, I would say I really just want everyone to do the best they can while also having fun because at the end of the day that's what it is all about.
Is there a specific coach or teammate who has helped you get where you are?
One of my current teammates, Charles Joseph Abahazi, is someone who has helped me greatly throughout my time here at OWU. We've both been able to constantly push each other to be better in the pool, while also pushing each other to be better out of the pool too.
If you could have a super power, what would it be?
Teleportation
What is your ideal travel destination?
My ideal travel destination would be Lake Como in Italy. Many movies have been filmed there, including the Star Wars movies for some scenes, and it would be a really cool experience to see it in person.
What is your favorite season and why?
My favorite season is winter because I have always loved the colder weather. Being able to layer up and wear comfy clothes is something I've always looked forward to, especially living in the Midwest.
