Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
I chose (Ohio Wesleyan) because it was the place that made me feel like I could do everything that I loved all at once. Some other colleges I felt like I was going to have to choose between some of my passions.
Why did you choose your major?
I chose math and music as my majors because they have always been my favorite subjects in school and doing the work for those classes never feels like work to me.
Why did you choose to compete in sports at Ohio Wesleyan?
I love tennis and couldn’t imagine my life without it.
Do you have any pre-event rituals or superstitions?
I had a couple of rituals with my high school team on match days like the songs we played beforehand, the handshakes we did during lineups, etc. but I don’t have any with the college team yet. I'm looking to change that.
Why do you like your position?
I like both singles and doubles. I feel like my game is better suited for doubles but I love the grind and mental game that singles brings.
What are your strengths as an athlete (as an individual)?
I believe one of my strengths in tennis is my ability to adapt and change during a match. Another that I think I have is my grit and determination.
Is there a specific coach or teammate who has helped you get where you are?
My high school coach, Adrian Tolentino, helped grow my love for the game, and most of all my dad taught me how to play the game and has always pushed and encouraged me to get better.
Which three people, living or dead, would you like to share a meal with?
I'd like to share a meal with Kevin Hart, The Rock, and my roommate, Ashton. I just think the vibes would be immaculate and I'm super interested to see how Ashton’s humor would match up with the two professional actors' humor.
If you could visit another time, when would it be and why?
I would want to visit my past self when I was like 7 and convince him to start playing tennis because I didn't really start playing until I was 12 or so and I wish I bought into the commitment of the sport earlier.
What is your dream job and why?
My dream job is a Broadway actor because I would just be doing something I love for money every day and I would live in New York.
