Carolyn Tarbell joined the Ohio Wesleyan faculty in 1928. In 1948, she was named Director of Physical Education for Women. She retired from the faculty as associate professor of physical education in 1964. She not only was a great teacher but also a constant source of encouragement to those women who wished to make athletics a part of their educational experience.
