Ed Kurent '68 earned 4 letters in football.  He was the one of the last players who played both ways on offense and defense, often starting at both offensive gaurd and either middle guard or tackle on defense.  As a junior, he was named second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference.  As a senior, he was a first-team All-OAC selection and co-captained the Battling Bishop team which went undefeated and won the conference championship.  He also was named Most Valuable Player by his teammates that year.
