Hayden Buckley '52 earned 3 letters in football and 3 in baseball.  His senior year was his finest in both sports.  In football, he passed and ran for 982 yards of total offense.  He was one of the top 3 passers in the Ohio Athletic Conference that year.  In addition to quarterbacking the Battling Bishop football team, he also handled the punting duties.  As a senior, he co-captained the baseball team and while playing a fine defensive shortstop, he led the team with a .360 batting average.
