Ohio Wesleyan University Athletics

Lingel "Sonny" Winters '24 was the quarterback who led OWU to the 1922 Ohio Athletic Conference championship.  He was the top scorer on the team, a great runner, kicker and passer.  Winters also was chosen All-Ohio and All-Western after his junior year, and was elected captain his senior year but was ineligible to play.  In addition, he was a third baseman on the baseball team.
