Ohio Wesleyan University Athletics

Lucy Murray  '82 was a 4-year letterwinner in track & field.  She set school records in the 600-yard run as a freshman and in the 1000-yard run as a sophomore.  Her junior year, she won the 600- and 1000-yard runs and ran on a first-place relay team in helping the Bishops win the state championship.  Outdoors that year, she set a school record in the 400-meter hurdles and ran on a record-setting 3200-meter relay team as Ohio Wesleyan won its first state title.  She served as team captain for 2 years.  In cross country, she provided leadership on Ohio Wesleyan's first varsity team, finishing 40th at the Midwest regional meet her senior year.
