Ron Dahlborg ’66 was a 2-time Ohio Athletic Conference shot put champion. He defended his OAC crown with an OWU-record put of 52-2¾ as a senior in helping Bishops to a fourth-place finish at the conference meet. He ranked third on the team in scoring with 44 points as OWU compiled an 8-3 season record. He won his first OAC title with a season-best throw of 50-1, nipping runner-up by half an inch and the third-place finisher by three-quarters of an inch as the Bishops tied for fourth place in the league meet. As a sophomore, he helped the Bishops set meet records in winning the shot put and discus events at the OAC Relays. He also lettered twice in football as an offensive tackle.
