Ohio Wesleyan University Athletics

Steve Dutton '72 lettered 4 times in football and led the 1971 Battling Bishops to the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, then the College Division Western Regional championship game.  That Bishop team also won the Ohio Athletic Conference championship and ended its season with a 9-1 record.  Dutton contributed 77 tackles that year, earning Ohio Wesleyan's George Staten Spirit Award.  He was named to the Kodak-American Football Coaches College Division All-America team, and also was named an Outstanding College Athlete of America.
