9th of 15 at O’Briant-Jensen Memorial

Freshman Drew O'Connor (San Diego, Calif./Parker) led Ohio Wesleyan at the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial tournament, hosted by Guilford College on Monday and Tuesday at Cardinal Golf and Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.

Methodist won the tournament with a 36-hole total of 578, defeating host Guilford by 13 shots.  Greensboro finished in third place at 598, followed by Huntingdon (604), Christopher Newport (611), LaGrange (613), Berry (622), Averett (628), and Ohio Wesleyan (320).  Bridgewater rounded out the top 10 teams with a 652, followed by Washington & Lee (653), Roanoke (655), Lynchburg (666), Virginia Wesleyan (667), and North Carolina Wesleyan (678).

O'Connor carded a 156 to tie for 31st place among individuals.

Senior Jerry Moore (Mogadore) tied for 35th place with a 158, junior Tyler Carney-DeBord (Delaware/Hayes) tied for 45th place at 161, freshman Jeff Dailey (Delaware/Olentangy) tied for 48th place with a 162, and sophomore Kaneat Nimcharoenwan (Bangkok, Thailand/Buckeye Valley) tied for 63rd place at 165.

Freshman Jimmy Wolf (Granville), competing as an individual, tied for 75th place with a 170.
