Box Score Denison 18, Ohio Wesleyan 4

Junior attacker Annie Swanson (McLean, Va./Langley) and sophomore midfielder Cate Bailey (Hingham, Mass.) scored 2 goals apiece to lead Ohio Wesleyan in its North Coast Athletic Conference finale against Denison on Friday evening at Selby Stadium.

Denison opened the game with a 10-0 run, getting scores from Alex Thurner and Olivia Shiland during the first 4 minutes of play, adding scores from Molly Chapman and Thurner less than a minute apart, and collecting goals by Erin Keller, Lisa Feroli, and Chapman in less than a minute to build a 7-0 lead just over 10 minutes into the action.

Swanson put the Bishops on the scoreboard late in the first half, and Bailey opened the second half by converting a free-position shot.  Each would tally again during the second half.

Senior Lauren Figy (Westfield, Mass.) recorded 11 saves in the Ohio Wesleyan crease.

Thurner led the Big Red with 5 goals and an assist.  Grace Bodenmann and Hannah Minifie combined for 6 stops in the Denison goal.
