A total of 3 Ohio Wesleyan University men's golfers were named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference teams, it was announced today.
Senior Caleb Chiero (Westerville/Central) and junior Jerry Moore (Mogadore) were first-team All-NCAC selections, while senior Nate Fridley (Sidney/Lehman Catholic) was an honorable mention pick.
Chiero tied for second place in the NCAC individual standings, finishing the 2 conference events with a 90-hole total of 374.
Moore tied for fourth place in the individual standings with a total of 376.
The top six places in the NCAC standings (ties inclusive) receive first-team all-conference laurels, while places 7-12 are accorded second-team all-conference honors.
Fridley finished in a 14th-place tie in the individual standings at 391. He secured honorable mention all-conference status with a ninth-place finish at the NCAC Invitational last weekend.
Wittenberg won the NCAC championship with a total of 1500 in the 2 events. Ohio Wesleyan was second at 1540, followed by Denison (1549), DePauw (1556), Allegheny (1559), Wooster (1564), Wabash (1624), Kenyon (1684), Hiram (1698), and Oberlin (1948).
