A total of 4 Ohio Wesleyan University softball players were named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference teams, it was announced today.
Sophomore righthander Dani Haley (Maumee/Anthony Wayne) was a first-team all-conference choice, junior catcher Brooke Nethers (Newark/Licking Valley) was a second-team all-conference selection, and freshman designated player Steph Cunningham (Seville/Medina) and junior outfielder Morgan Hall (Dublin/Coffman) were honorable mention picks.
Haley went 8-10 with a 2.30 earned run average this season. In conference play, she was 6-2 with a 1.31 earned run average. She ranks second in the NCAC with 114 strikeouts this season.
Nethers batted .415, leading the Bishops and ranking fifth in the NCAC, and shares the league lead with 26 stolen bases. Nethers was a second-team all-conference selection for the second straight season.
Cunningham batted .300 with 7 RBI this season. In conference play, she batted .321 with 4 RBI.
Hall batted .339 with 4 RBI this season. In conference play, she batted a team-leading .423 with 4 RBI.
Ohio Wesleyan finished with a 14-22 overall record this season. The Battling Bishops finished in a tie for sixth place in the NCAC standings with a 7-9 record.
