A total of 4 former Ohio Wesleyan standouts were named to the North Coast Athletic Conference's 30th Anniversary All-Decade men's lacrosse team, it was announced by the NCAC. The 30th Anniversary All-Decade team includes the 2004-13 seasons.
John Schlegel and Colin Short were selected at attack, Chris Eccles was chosen at midfield; and Tony D'Abarno was tabbed on defense.
Schlegel was a 2-time choice as NCAC Player of the Year and received NCAC Newcomer of the Year honors. He also was a 3-time All-America selection. Short was a 3-time first-team All-NCAC choice and won All-America honors. Eccles was a 2-time pick as NCAC Player of the Year and received 3 first-team All-NCAC citations as well as NCAC Newcomer of the Year honors. He also was a 3-time All-America selection. D'Abarno was a 3-time first-team All-NCAC selection and won All-America honors.
The NCAC is celebrating its 30th playing season by selecting All-Decade teams in nearly every championship sport. Players from the first 10 years of play were selected in 1993-94, while players who competed from 1993-2002 were named to the 20th Anniversary All-Decade team. All current head coaches were asked to vote, as were some former coaches and administrators.
