Former Ohio Wesleyan standouts Sharon Rymut, Ashley Shaffer, Sarah Shinn, and Kat Zimmerly were named to the North Coast Athletic Conference's 30th Anniversary All-Decade women's indoor track & field team, it was announced by the NCAC. The 30th Anniversary All-Decade team includes the 2004-13 seasons.
Rymut was selected in the discus. She won 4 consecutive NCAC championships in the event and was named Field Event Performer of the Meet in 2009 and 2010.
Shaffer was selected in the 400-meter dash. She won NCAC championships in the event in 2007 and 2008 and picked up another all-conference citation with a second in 2006.
Shinn was selected in the 800-meter run. She won the NCAC title in a conference-record 2:14.96 in 2007 and finished second in 2009 and 2010.
Zimmerly was selected in the 3000-meter steeplechase. She won NCAC titles in the event in 2008, 2009, and 2011 and set a conference record of 11:06.57 in 2011.
The NCAC is celebrating its 30th playing season by selecting All-Decade teams in nearly every championship sport. Players from the first 10 years of play were selected in 1993-94, while players who competed from 1993-2002 were named to the 20th Anniversary All-Decade team. All current head coaches were asked to vote, as were some former coaches and administrators.
