Foster's game-winner came off a feed from senior attacker Casey Helms (Sandwich, Mass./Bridgton Academy).
Ohio Wesleyan had evened the game at 2-2 on a goal by junior attacker Tommy Minkler (Oakton, Va./Landon School) early in the second quarter, but the Lords outscored the Bishops, 4-1, during the remainder of the period, getting goals by Zach Arlia, Caleb Florence, Trey Trudell, and Jack Fraser. The Lords extended their lead to 7-3 when Fritz Waine opened the second-half scoring with a goal.
Minkler started the Bishop comeback, scoring on a feed from senior midfielder Spencer Schnell (Dublin/Jerome) midway through the third quarter, and junior attacker John Umbach (Montclair, N.J.) followed with a goal that brought the Bishops within 7-5.
Minkler and Foster scored goals just :46 apart early in the fourth quarter as the Bishops evened the game at 7-7, and Schnell's man-up goal with 6:04 to play gave Ohio Wesleyan an 8-7 lead.
Kenyon tied the game at 8-8 on Alex Lopez's goal with 2:09 left in regulation time. The Lords had a look at the game-winner, but Waine's shot with :18 left was wide of the goal.
Both teams had chances during the first overtime, with Helms having his shot stopped by Kenyon's Patrick Shevelson midway through the extra session, and Kenyon's Justin Coleman hitting the pipe with less than a minute to play.
Minkler scored 3 goals for Ohio Wesleyan, while Umbach finished with 2 goals and 2 assists. Junior Ryan McMahon (Springfield, Va./The Bullis School) finished with 9 saves.
Florence led Kenyon with 3 goals. Shevelson recorded 15 saves in the Kenyon crease.
