Box Score
Ohio Wesleyan 17, Augustana 4

Senior midfielder Brendan Bouchard (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) scored 3 goals during a game-opening 6-0 run that started 17th-ranked Ohio Wesleyan on its way to a non-conference win over Augustana on Saturday at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center in Columbus.

The game was originally scheduled for Ohio Wesleyan's Selby Stadium, but the forecast for temperatures in the 20s and winds of 25-35 miles per hour forced the contest indoors.

Bouchard put the Bishops on the scoreboard with a goal just over 90 seconds into the game, then followed with a goal less than 90 seconds later before setting up a score by senior attacker Tommy Minkler (Oakton, Va./Landon School) at the 11:11 mark of the first quarter.

Senior attacker John Umbach (Montclair, N.J.) scored just 7 seconds after that, and senior midfielder Kyle Foster (Medfield, Mass./Avon Old Farms (Conn.)) finished off the run by setting up 2 goals, first finding junior midfielder Sean Roskamp (Chesterfield, Mo./Parkway West) for a score before connecting with Bouchard for his third of the game with 6:01 left in the period.

Augustana's Colin Haley put the Vikings on the scoreboard with an unassisted goal with 5:24 left, but Ohio Wesleyan would close the half with a 7-0 run that included 2 goals by Umbach, 2 by junior attacker Marcus Dietz (Westerville/St. Francis DeSales), and a man-down score by Minkler.

Senior attacker Edwin Foster (Medfield, Mass./Avon Old Farms (Conn.)) and Dietz added goals during the third quarter, and Umbach and junior attacker P.J. Beach (Huntington, N.Y.) scored fourth-quarter goals.

Umbach led the Bishops with 4 goals, while Bouchard added 3 goals and an assist, and Dietz finished with 3 goals.  Senior Ryan McMahon (Springfield, Va./The Bullis School) made 5 saves during the first 3 quarters, and freshman Xander Pacilio (Philadelphia, Pa./Springside Chestnut Hill) stopped 3 shots during the fourth quarter.

Haley, Jonathan Bryk, Nick Zielinski, and Scott Davis each scored for Augustana.  Jack Peters and Cody Burgdorff combined for 11 saves in the Viking goal.
