Box Score
Oberlin 63, Ohio Wesleyan 58

Junior guard Megan Kuether (Osgood/Marion Local) and junior post Taylor Dickson (Baltimore/Liberty Union) scored buckets that brought Ohio Wesleyan within a single point during the fourth quarter, but Oberlin withstood the Bishop rally and recorded a North Coast Athletic Conference win on Wednesday at Branch Rickey Arena.

The Bishops took the lead late on the first quarter, getting a pair of 3-pointers by Kuether to wipe out a 12-9 deficit, and Dickson opened the second quarter with another trifecta that gave Ohio Wesleyan a 6-point lead.

Oberlin opened the second half with a 15-4 run that featured a pair of 3-pointers from Caroline Hamilton and 3 lay-ins by Abby Andrews.  Andrews was fouled on the last of the 3 hoops, and her free throw to complete the 3-point play gave the Yeowomen a 39-32 lead with 4:11 left in the quarter.

Trailing, 54-49, midway through the fourth quarter, the Bishops rallied with baskets by Kuether and Dickson to close within 54-53 with 3:10 left in regulation time.  Oberlin's Olivia Canning sank a lay-in to push the lead back to 3, and on the Bishops' next possession, Kuether was fouled but missed a pair of free throws that would have once again made it a one-point game.

Hamilton hit a 3-pointer on Oberlin's next possession for a 59-53 advantage at the 2:12 mark, and despite hoops from senior guard Kelly Still (New Orleans, La./St. Martin's) and Dickson, the Bishops would not come closer than the final 5-point margin.

Kuether led the Bishops with 23 points, while Dickson finished with 20 points.  Junior post Mercedez Wood (Alliance/Marlington) grabbed a team-best 9 rebounds and shared the team lead with 4 assists, and freshman guard Erin Delaney (Toledo/Notre Dame Academy) also shared the team lead with 4 assists.

Andrews led Oberlin with 18 points.
