Box Score
Baldwin Wallace 77, Ohio Wesleyan 66

Senior guard Megan Kuether (Osgood/Marion Local) converted a 3-point play and freshman post Elea Karras (Bellbrook/Miami Valley) buried a pair of 3-pointers during a 10-2 fourth-quarter Ohio Wesleyan run, but Baldwin Wallace held off the Bishop comeback and took a non-conference win on Monday in Berea.

Sydney Clark opened the game with a pair of 3-pointers for the Yellow Jackets, but senior post Taylor Dickson (Baltimore/Liberty Union) answered with a 3-pointer to put the Bishops on the scoreboard.

Baldwin Wallace then went on a 10-0 run, with Mackenzie Colombo scoring the first 5 points, to take a 16-3 lead at the 5:44 mark of the first quarter.

A Karras 3-pointer brought Ohio Wesleyan within 18-10 midway through the first quarter, and the Bishops were still within 10 points after sophomore guard Erin Delaney (Toledo/Notre Dame Academy) opened the second period with a lay-in.

The Yellow Jackets countered with an 8-0 burst that included 3-pointers by Kasey Hughes and Riley Schill, and would lead by a 44-23 count at the intermission.

Ohio Wesleyan rallied in the second half, with Kuether collecting a lay-in and a 3-pointer and Karras following with a lay-in to make it a 46-35 game midway through the third period, and the Bishops closing to within 58-48 on a jumper by sophomore guard Lisa Zeller (Orient/Grove City Christian) early in the fourth quarter.

Baldwin Wallace threatened to put the game out of reach with a 7-0 run, but Ohio Wesleyan responded with a 10-2 burst that included a 3-point play and a free throw by Kuether and a pair of 3-pointers by Karras, the latter making it a 67-58 game with 4:26 left in regulation time.

Colombo ended that Bishop run with a pair of free throws, and the Yellow Jackets were able to keep Ohio Wesleyan from narrowing the deficit any further.

Kuether led the Bishops with a season-high 24 points and had a team-high 4 assists.  Karras finished with 13 points.  Junior wing Trischa Lacy (Urbana) grabbed a team-best 5 rebounds.

Colombo led Baldwin Wallace with 16 points.
