at Denison Last Chance Meet

Junior Delontaye Morrow (Medina), senior Nick Horton (Westerville/North), sophomore Darcy Isaiah (Akron/Firestone), and sophomore Ryan Lesmez (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) won events for Ohio Wesleyan at the Denison Last Chance meet, hosted by Denison University on Friday in Granville.

The meet, which attracted competitors from Denison, Kenyon, Oberlin, Ohio Wesleyan, Shawnee State, Wooster, and Wittenberg, was not scored.

Morrow won the high jump by clearing 5-8 and added a second-place finish in the 60-meter dash.

Horton won the mile run in 4:28.70.

Isaiah won the 400-meter dash in :53.15.

Lesmez won the 3000-meter run in 9:09.62.

Other standouts for the Bishops included freshman Jabriri Davis (Sunlake, Fla.), who was second in the long jump and fifth in the 200-meter dash; senior Justin Reznik (Columbia Station/Columbia), who placed second in the weight throw; sophomore Ahmed Hamed (Hilliard/Bradley), who finished second in the mile run; freshman Kudzovi Nuakey (Canal Winchester/Groveport Madison), who was second in the 400-meter dash; junior Quinton Broomfield (Gahanna/Lincoln), who finished third in the 400-meter dash and fifth in the 60-meter hurdles; senior Griffin Peyton (Cincinnati/Anderson), who was third in the 200-meter dash and fifth in the long jump; freshman Darien Ramirez-Wilson (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township), who finished third in the triple jump; freshman Marquis Sena (Bronx, N.Y./Institute for Math & Science), who finished third in the 60-meter dash; sophomore Mike Heeschen (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area), who placed fourth in the shot put; sophomore Zach Thayer (Hilliard/Bradley), who was fifth in the shot put; freshman Cade Richeson (Worthington/Thomas Worthington), who placed fifth in the weight throw; sophomore Alex Barrett (Kingston, Wash.), who was fifth in the 400-meter dash; and freshman Kyler Brock (Zanesville/New Concord John Glenn), who placed fifth in the 800-meter run.
