Arcadia 16, Ohio Wesleyan 1

Sophomore catcher Tim Robinson (Washington Court House/Washington) plated a run to give Ohio Wesleyan a first-inning lead, but Arcadia rallied for 16 consecutive runs in taking a non-conference win over the Bishops on Wednesday in Port Charlotte, Fla.

Freshman outfielder Cole Antle (Grove City) lined a one-out single in the first inning and senior outfielder Michael Blatchford (Shaker Heights) followed with a single before sophomore first baseman Canyon McWilliams (Shaker Heights) reached on an error by Knight second baseman Nick Ponente to load the bases.  Robinson then sent a fly ball to center, with Antle scoring for a 1-0 Bishop lead.

Arcadia countered with 4 runs in the bottom of the inning, with Ponente and Evan Hurst collecting RBI singles during the inning.  The Knights added a pair of runs in the second and a single run in the third.

The Knights broke the game open with 9 runs in the fifth frame, highlighted by a bases-clearing double by Brett Moyer.

McWilliams was 2-for-3 for the Bishops.
Sophomore righthander Chris Punka (Tallmadge/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) was the starting and losing pitcher for Ohio Wesleyan.

Robert Lichtenberger pitched the first 5.0 innings to record the win for the Knights
