The Gators took the lead in the second when Tyler Wagner led off with a single, moved to second on a sacrifice, and scored on Noah Shannon's double to left center.

Ohio Wesleyan threatened in the bottom of the third, loading the bases as
freshman catcher Matt Deskins (Mason) singled, senior outfielder Michael Blatchford (Shaker Heights) was hit by a pitch, and sophomore first baseman Canyon McWilliams (Shaker Heights) singled, but Kealey came back to get senior third baseman Colin Stolly (Lima/Central Catholic) on strikes to get out of the inning.

Allegheny increased its advantage to 2-0 in the fourth when Tom Cannon led off with a double, moved to third on a single by Ethan Pawlak, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Shannon.

The Bishops threatened in the bottom of the inning, getting a runner to third base with one out as senior second baseman Matthew Messick (Dublin/Scioto) singled, took second on an errant pickoff throw by Kealey, and moved to third on a passed ball, but Kealey struck out sophomore first baseman Mitchell Raley (Hamilton/Badin) and got Deskins to line out for the third out.

Cannon led off the sixth with a home run and Wagner hit a 2-run shot in the eighth to wrap up the day's scoring.

Deskins went 2-for-3 for Ohio Wesleyan.  Sophomore righthander Chris Punka (Tallmadge/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) pitched the first 5.0 innings, striking out 6 and walking one, and was charged with the loss.
