Junior attacker Max Tennant (Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek) and junior attacker Steven Hildebrand (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga) scored 3 goals apiece to help 7th/9th-ranked Ohio Wesleyan take a 9-1 halftime lead, and the Bishops went on to a North Coast Athletic Conference win over DePauw on Tuesday at Selby Stadium.

The win raised Ohio Wesleyan to 7-0 in the NCAC, clinching a share of the conference championship for the Battling Bishops.  The conference title is Ohio Wesleyan's 20th in the 34 seasons of NCAC competition.  The Bishops can clinch the conference title outright with a win at Wooster on Saturday.

Hildebrand scored a pair of goals during the first 5 minutes of action to put the Bishops on the scoreboard, then fed Tennant for a goal just over a minute later.  Senior midfielder Luke Leyden (Northfield, Mass./Northfield Mt. Hermon) made it 4-0 with an unassisted goal before Ben Sherman put the Tigers on the board during the final minute of the first period.

Tennant rang up a pair of goals just 25 seconds apart early in the second quarter, the latter coming off a feed from junior attacker Jack Jeschke (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy).  Senior defenseman Bradford Marcotte (Duxbury, Mass.) picked up the ensuing face-off and found Jeschke for a goal only 13 seconds later to incrase the Bishop lead to 7-1.  Hildebrand scored again at the 10:53 mark of the period, and junior midfielder Cole Jamieson (Okemos, Mich.) followed with a goal with :04 left in the half to make it 9-1 at the break.

The Bishops outscored the Tigers, 9-0, during the third quarter, with Tennant compiling 4 goals and an assist and Hildebrand adding a goal and 2 assists.

Tennant led the Bishops with 7 goals and an assist, while Hildebrand finished with 4 goals and 3 assists.  Senior Ben Rigger (Decatur, Ga.), sophomore Joey Sichenzia (Sayville, N.Y.), freshman Zach Brasser (Westport, Conn./Millbrook (N.Y.) School), and senior Xander Pacilio (Philadelphia, Pa./Springside Chestnut Hill) combined for 3 saves in the Ohio Wesleyan crease.

Sherman had a goal and an assist for DePauw.  Charlie Robson recorded 21 saves in the Tiger goal.
