Freshman Cade Richeson (Worthington/Thomas Worthington), sophomore Zach Thayer (Hilliard/Darby), sophomore Mike Heeschen (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area), freshman Jabriri Davis (Sunlake, Fla.), and junior Daniel Frame (Tipp City/Tippecanoe) won events for Ohio Wesleyan at the Big Red Invitational, hosted by Denison University on Friday in Granville.

Richeson won the shot put with a throw of 51-5½ and finished second in the discus. Thayer won the discus with a throw of 151-0 and placed second in the hammer. Heeschen won the javelin with a heave of 164-1. Davis won the long jump with a leap of 21-3¼. Frame won the 3000-meter run in 9:14.52.
Other standouts for the Bishops included senior Griffin Peyton (Cincinnati/Anderson), who placed second in the javelin and seventh in the long jump; senior Nick Horton (Westerville/North), who was second in the 1500-meter run; junior Quinton Broomfield (Gahanna/Lincoln), who finished fourth in the high jump and the 200-meter dash; sophomore Ryan Lesmez (
Arlington, Va./Yorktown), who was fourth in the 800-meter run; senior Justin Reznik (Columbia Station/Columbia), who placed fifth in the hammer; freshman Clay Cheney (
Marion/Pleasant), who placed fifth in the long jump; sophomore Ahmed Hamed (Hilliard/Bradley), who was sixth in the 1500-meter run; sophomore Josh Queener (Cardington/Cardington-Lincoln), who was seventh in the 1500-meter run; and freshman Kudzovi Nuakey (Canal Winchester/Groveport Madison), who placed seventh in the 800-meter run.
The Ohio Wesleyan 1600-meter relay team of freshman Kyler Brock (Zanesville/New Concord John Glenn), Lesmez, Queener, and Hamed finished fifth.
