4th of 4 at Muskie Chase

The Ohio Wesleyan rowing team competed in the Muskie Chase, hosted by Marietta College on Sunday in Marietta.

Dayton completed the 5000-meter course on the Muskingum River in a time of 18:50.4.  Adrian finished second in 19:58.3, Marietta was third in 21:10.8, and the Ohio Wesleyan Varsity 8 boat of freshman Caroline Parker (Louisville, Ky./St. Francis), sophomore Sana Hussain (Karachi, Pakistan/Cedar College), sophomore Carys Diaz (Indianapolis, Ind./Herron), sophomore Catie Hyatt (Lodi/Cloverleaf), sophomore Annabella Miller (Wellington), senior Mahnoor Ansari (Lahore, Pakistan/Beaconhouse), junior Fiona Roddy (Fredericktown), sophomore Meg Edwards (Columbus/Hilliard Davidson), and sophomore Madeline Nemeth (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) placed fourth in 22:12.5.

The regatta also included 500-meter sprints, and the Ohio Wesleyan boat of Hussain, freshman Katherine Dunn (Grosse Pointe, Mich./Walker (Conn.) School), Diaz, Hyatt, Miller, Ansari, Roddy, Edwards, and Nemeth finished third in the first flight.  Dayton's boat finished in 1:53.7, followed by Adrian at 1:56.3, and Ohio Wesleyan with a 2:07.3.  In the second flight, Dayton again won in 1:59.4, Adrian was second in 2:03.6, and Ohio Wesleyan folllowed in 2:13.1.  The third flight saw Dayton win in 2:05.09, Adrian place second in 2:13.7, and Ohio Wesleyan finish in 2:16.1.

The Muskie Chase completes Ohio Wesleyan's fall schedule.  The spring schedule begins at the end of March.
