McElgunn put the Bishops on the scoreboard in the second minute of play, and Baumgartner followed with a pair of goals and set up freshman midfielder Sarah Hanley (Farmington, Mich.) on a goal that made it 4-0 just under 7 minutes into the action.
Roya Tahamessebi ended that Bishop run with a goal to put the Boxers on the scoreboard, but the Bishops got back-to-back goals from McElgunn, followed by scores from Baumgartner, freshman midfielder Olivia Beauchamp (Middlebury, Vt./Middlebury Union), and McElgunn to extend the lead to 9-1 with 9:19 left in the first half.
After Tahamessebi tallied again for Pacific, McElgunn and sophomore attacker Emily Sheridan (North Smithfield, R.I./Marianapolis (Conn.) Prep) closed out the first half with scores to give the Bishops an 1-2 lead at the break.
Baumgartner and Sheridan opened the second half with goals, and the lead would remain in double digits through the remainder of the game.
