The Ohio Wesleyan rowing team opened its spring season in a regatta hosted by Adrian College on Saturday at Devils Lake in Manitou Beach, Mich.

The Ohio Wesleyan Varsity 4 boat of freshman coxswain Madeline Nemeth (Cincinnati/Oak Hills), freshman Catie Hyatt (Lodi/Cloverleaf), freshman Katherine Miller (Worthington/Thomas Worthington), sophomore Fiona Roddy (Mount Vernon/Fredericktown), and freshman Meg Edwards (Columbus/Hilliard Davidson) opened the day against host Adrian, with the Bulldogs completing the 2000-meter course in 10:24.23 to 11:25.36 for the Bishops.

In Novice 4 competition, Adrian clocked an 11:03.65, with Milwaukee School of Engineering finishing in 11:49.71 and the Ohio Wesleyan boat of Nemeth, freshman Sana Hussain (Karachi, Pakistan/Cedar College), freshman Annabella Miller (Wellington), junior Carrie Kubicki (Oberlin/Firelands), and junior Gretchen Weaver (Hudson) finishing in 15:15.84.

The Bishop Varsity 4 boat competed in the final race of the day, with North Park winning in 11:10.97 to 13:14.80 for the Bishops.

The Adrian regatta is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, with Ohio Wesleyan's Novice 8 boat set to make its intercollegiate debut in a pair of races against North Park and Rochester Insitute of Technology.
