Junior attacker Sloane Baumgartner (Naperville, Ill./St. Francis) scored 5 goals and sophomore attacker Megan McElgunn (Cohasset, Mass.) added 4 more as Ohio Wesleyan took a 15-6 halftime lead and went on to a North Coast Athletic Conference win over Hiram on Tuesday at Selby Stadium.
Baumgartner and McElgunn each scored twice as the Bishops sprinted to a 4-0 lead just over 5 minutes into the action, and Baumgartner added a goal less than a minute later for a 5-0 Ohio Wesleyan lead.
Katelyn Slomovitz connected on a free-position shot to put the Terriers on the scoreboard at the 21:38 mark, but Baumgartner and McElgunn scored to highlight a 4-0 Bishop run that extended the margin to 9-1.
Tayler Hall and Slomovitz answered with goals to bring the visitors within 9-3, but Ohio Wesleyan responded with scores by sophomore attacker Paige Ross (Boston, Mass./), sophomore midfielder Jenn Douglas (Easton, Md./Saints Peter and Paul), and sophomore attacker Emily Sheridan (North Smithfield, R.I./Marianapolis (Conn.) Prep). The Bishops had an answer for every Terrier run after that, never allowing the visitors to come closer than 8 goals during the remainder of the contest.

Senior Kelly Coffyn (Bainbridge Island, Wash./Bainbridge) made 2 saves during the first 22-plus minutes and sophomore Rachel Albers (Mason) had 2 saves during the final 37-plus minutes.
