Ohio Wesleyan University senior Quinton Broomfield (Gahanna/Lincoln) and junior Alexis Reichardt (Waldo/River Valley) have been named North Coast Athletic Conference Players of the Week for the week of April 29, it was announced by the NCAC.
Broomfield, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan men's track & field team, was named Men's Sprinter/Hurdler of the Week, while Reichardt, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's golf team, was named Women's Golfer of the Week.
At the Jesse Owens Classic on Saturday, Broomfield finished 12th in the 400-meter hurdles in :55.40 and 15th in the 110-meter hurdles in :15.22, competing in fields that consisted primarily of Division I student-athletes along with some Division II and Division III student-athletes.
Reichardt tied for third place among individuals at the Franklin Spring Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. She finished Saturday's play one shot behind the leaders at 82, then turned in an 85 on Sunday to finish as part of a 2-way tie for third place at 167.
