5th of 19 at All-Ohio championship
Senior Cirrus Robinson (Ashland) won an All-Ohio championship in leading Ohio Wesleyan at the All-Ohio championship meet, hosted by Otterbein University on Saturday in Westerville.
Mount Union won the meet with 119½ points to 104¾ for Otterbein. Baldwin Wallace and John Carroll tied for third place with 74 points apiece, followed by Ohio Wesleyan (60), Oberlin (58½), Wittenberg (42), Ohio Northern (32½), and Case Reserve (29). Capital rounded out the top 10 teams with 24 points, followed by Heidelberg (23), Kenyon (19), Marietta (16¾), Defiance and Wooster (8), Bluffton (6), Muskingum (2), Wilmington (1), and Denison (0).
Robinson won the high jump by clearing 5-6. It was her fourth consecutive All-Ohio indoor high jump title.
All-Ohio honors also went to freshman Peyton Howell (Canton/GlenOak), who was second in the high jump; and the Ohio Wesleyan 800-meter relay team of sophomore Julia Dickman (Marysville), sophomore Zoe Price (Bellefontaine), junior Courtney Owens (Gahanna/Lincoln), and senior Jaliyah Atkinson (Columbus/Groveport Madison), which placed third.
Other standouts for the Bishops included Owens, who finished fourth in the pentathlon and fifth in the 60-meter hurdles; sophomore Chase Patton (Delaware/Hayes), who placed fourth in the pole vault; junior Ari McPheters (Reynoldsburg/Bishop Hartley), who was fifth in the shot put; senior Megan Sievers (Strongsville), who finished sixth in the long jump; sophomore Chayanne Conley (Aurora), who was sixth in the weight throw; junior Makayla Trebella (Girard), who placed seventh in the 800-meter run; senior Tiffany Moore (Cleveland/Euclid), who finished eighth in the high jump; sophomore Kiara Harris (Bronx, N.Y./Pelham Preparatory Academy), who placed eighth in the triple jump; and freshman Madison Manns (Kenton/Bellefontaine Logan), who was eighth in the pentathlon.
The Bishop distance medley relay team of senior Erica VanHoose (Marysville), freshman Lordina Orleans-Onyina (Rocky Hill, Conn.), freshman Katie Corbin (Findlay), and sophomore Kylee McFarland (Granville) finished fifth, while the 1600-meter relay team of Price, Owens, Orleans-Onyina, and Dickman was sixth.
