The Ohio Wesleyan singles lineup of sophomore Ben Stein (Westport, Conn./Staples), senior Ryan Simon (Toledo/Ottawa Hills), sophomore Alex Riess (Dayton/Beavercreek), junior Omar Santiagonunez Ahumada (Toluca, Mexico/Tecnologico de Monterrey), junior Billy Lewis (Madison, N.J.), and sophomore Grant Brooks (Dublin/Coffman) posted wins as the Bishops defeated Greenville in non-conference play on Thursday in Hilton Head, S.C.

Stein was a 6-4, 6-1 winner over Austin Burkhart at No. 1; Simon defeated Tyler Blume, 6-3, 7-6 (7-1), at No. 2; Riess posted a 6-1, 6-1 win over Mathew Rodriguez at No. 3; Santiagonunez Ahumada prevailed over Zach Merrill by scores of 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4; Lewis blanked Ben Stewart, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 5; and Brooks outlasted Matt Lehr, 6-4, 7-5, at No. 6.

In doubles play, the Ohio Wesleyan No. 1 team of Simon and Stein recorded an 8-2 win over Blume and Rodriguez, and the No. 2 duo of junior Miller Buckholz (Cleveland/Berea-Midpark) and Santiagonunez Ahumada defeated Burkhart and Merrill by an 8-2 score.
