Ohio Wesleyan University senior Cirrus Robinson (Ashland) and junior Courtney Owens (Gahanna/Lincoln) received All-America honors for the 2020 NCAA Division III indoor track & field season from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, it was announced on Tuesday by the USTFCCCA.
Normally, All-America honors are awarded to student-athletes who score any portion of a team point (top-8 in the final of an individual event or as a member of a top-8 placing relay event) at the NCAA championships.
This year, with the NCAA Division III championship meet canceled on the eve of its scheduled start, the NCAA Division III Executive Committee recognized those participants who were selected for the national championships initially announced by the NCAA on Sunday, March 8, as All-America in individual events.
Robinson was honored in the high jump. She was tied for the fifth seed in the nation with a mark of 5-7¾. This is Robinson's third All-America citation in the indoor high jump after winning national championships in 2017 and 2018, and her sixth overall All-America honor, including national championships in the outdoor high jump in 2018 and 2019.
Owens was honored in the pentathlon. She was seeded 13th with a score of 3388 points. This is Owens' first All-America citation.
