Three Bishops, Women's Track & Field Team Honored by USTFCCCA

Three members of the Ohio Wesleyan University women's track & field team received All-Academic honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, it was announced by the USTFCCCA.

Senior Tiffany Moore (Cleveland/Euclid), senior Cirrus Robinson (Ashland), and sophomore Chase Patton (Delaware/Hayes) received All-Academic recognition.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have either competed in an NCAA indoor or outdoor championship, or finished the regular season ranked in the national top 50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.  Additionally, any athletes not among the top 50 individuals or 35 relay teams but who were accepted into the Indoor National Championship (other than alternates) are eligible.  A total of 477 student-athletes from 123 NCAA Division III institutions were named All-Academic.

The Ohio Wesleyan women's track & field team also was honored by the USTFCCCA, receiving All-Academic Team recognition.  The Battling Bishops were one of 209 Division III women's track & field teams to receive All-Academic Team honors for the 2019-20 academic year.  In order to receive All-Academic Team recognition, a team must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.1 or better for the academic year.
