Ohio Wesleyan University senior Astrid Koek (Maastricht, the Netherlands/Erasmus) received a special award as part of the All-North Coast Athletic Conference field hockey teams, it was announced today.
Koek, a midfielder, was named NCAC Offensive Player of the Year and was a first-team All-NCAC selection.
Junior midfielder Veronica Hardman (Sydney, Australia/Ravenswood) and freshman midfielder Zoë Nelson (Frederick, Md./Urbana) were second-team all-conference choices, and freshman defender Gabi Dahllof (Bear, Del./Caravel Academy) was an honorable mention pick.
Koek shares the team lead in scoring with 14 points on 6 goals and 2 assists, with her 4 game-winning goals tied for fourth in the conference. Koek was a first-team All-NCAC choice in 2019 and a second-team all-conference selection in 2018.
