Freshman midfielder Nicole Klabus (Delaware/Hayes) put Ohio Wesleyan on the scoreboard just seconds into the game, but DePauw scored the next 14 goals and went on to record a North Coast Athletic Conference West Division win over the Bishops on Saturday at Selby Stadium.
Klabus scored just 9 seconds into the game for a 1-0 Bishop lead.
DePauw's Emma Kennedy gathered the enusing draw and sent the ball to Riley deVarennes, who scored the equalizer at the 29:32 mark. deVarennes then converted a free-position shot to put the Tigers ahead to stay.
Bria Randolph scored 2 goals and Grace Clarke tallied the next 3 in a row for DePauw. The Tigers also got 3 scores from Graesen Campbell, and goals from Randolph and Tori Salanty made it 14-1 late in the first half.
Senior midfielder Jenn Douglas (Easton, Md./Saints Peter and Paul) scored off a feed from senior midfielder Megan McElgunn (Cohasset, Mass.) to close out the first half, and the Bishops got a goal from sophomore midfielder Caroline Kiker (Shaker Heights) early in the second half.
