Senior midfielder Megan McElgunn (Cohasset, Mass.) and freshman midfielder Megan Knee (San Diego, Calif./Mt. Carmel) had free-position shots for Ohio Wesleyan in a North Coast Athletic Conference West Division matchup against 13th-ranked Denison on Wednesday in Granville.

The Big Red got 2 goals and an assist from Casey McTague during a burst of 3 goals in a span of just over 2 minutes, that got back-to-back goals from Liza Farnham on the way to a 5-0 lead.  McTague added another goal to help Denison build a 9-0 lead midway through the first half.

McElgunn lined up for a free-position shot at the 13:46 mark of the first, but Denison's Caroline O'Dea was there to make the save.

Knee had a free-position shot with 12:03 to play in the period, but O'Dea again recorded the save.

Senior Rachel Albers (Mason) was credited with 6 saves in the Ohio Wesleyan goal.

McTague finished with 4 goals and an assist, while Farnham had 3 goals and 2 assists.  O'Dea and Maeve Caldwell combined for 4 saves in the Denison crease.
