Senior attacker Will Anton (Madison, N.J.)  scored 6 goals during the first quarter as Ohio Wesleyan built a 14-0 lead and went on to a North Coast Athletic Conference West Division win over the Little Giants on Saturday at Selby Stadium.

Anton put the Bishops on the scoreboard just over a minute into the action, and after scores from senior midfielder Sean Gellen (Davis, Calif./Senior) and senior midfielder Brett Lehle (Houston, Texas/Houston Christian), it was Anton again with a score to cap a burst of 4 goals in the opening 5 minutes of play.

Junior attacker Henry Hasenberg (Los Angeles, Calif./Loyola) followed with back-to-back scores, and junior attacker Whit Stopak (North Canton/Hoover) added a man-down goal before Anton connected on back-to-back goals that made it a 9-0 game.

Ohio Wesleyan closed out the period with 5 goals during the final 3 minutes, with Anton tallying twice during that run.

The 14 first-quarter goals tied the school record set against DePauw on April 10, 2013, and equaled on April 1, 2017, against Hiram.

Freshman midfielder Henry Little (San Diego, Calif./La Jolla Country Day) had goals during the second and third quarters and set up a Bishop score during the fourth period.

Anton led the Bishops with 6 goals, while Stopak recorded a goal and 5 assists, Little collected 3 goals and 2 assists, and Hasenberg finished with 3 goals and an assist.

Senior Zach Brasser (Westport, Conn./Millbrook (N.Y.) School) made 2 saves during the first 13-plus minutes of play.  Sophomore Carl Mazabras (New Canaan, Conn.) had 1 save during the second and third quarters, and sophomore George Whitney (Marion, Mass./Tabor Academy) stopped 3 shots during the fourth quarter.  The shutout was the Bishops' first since April 15, 2003, at Wittenberg.

Stephen Krajcir and John Frey combined for 11 saves for the Little Giants.
