Senior midfielder Conor McGeeney (Loveland/Archbishop Moeller) scored twice and senior attacker Will Anton (Madison, N.J.) added a goal and an assist during a 7-1 that closed the first half and put 20th-ranked Ohio Wesleyan ahead to stay in a non-divisional win over North Coast Athletic Conference rival Wooster on Saturday at Selby Stadium.

Anton scored with 4:21 left in the first quarter, breaking a 1-1 tie and kicking off the Bishop run, which continued when Anton set up McGeeney on a goal that gave the Bishops a 3-1 lead after the opening period.

Junior midfielder Jack Damon (Portsmouth, R.I.) rang up a goal just 21 seconds into the second period, and junior midfielder Brody Leinson (Littleton, Mass.), junior attacker Whit Stopak (North Canton/Hoover), and junior attacker Luke Swaddling (Strongsville/Lakewood St. Edward) followed with goals to extend the Ohio Wesleyan lead to 7-1.

Wooster's Ted Wells scored to bring the visitors within 7-2 with 2:21 left in the half, but McGeeney answered with a goal with :13 remaining to give the Bishops an 8-2 halftime lead.

The Bishop defense shut out the Fighting Scots during the second half.  Swaddling and junior attacker Henry Hasenberg (Los Angeles, Calif./Loyola) each scored twice during the third quarter and Swaddling added 2 more goals during the fourth period.

Swaddling led the Bishops with 5 goals and an assist.  McGeeney finished with 3 goals, and Anton and Hasenberg each contributed 2 goals and 2 assists.

Senior Zach Brasser (Westport, Conn./Millbrook (N.Y.) School) recorded 9 saves during the first 49-plus minutes in the Ohio Wesleyan crease.  Sophomore Carl Mazabras (New Canaan, Conn.) had 1 save and sophomore George Whitney (Marion, Mass./Tabor Academy) made 2 saves during the fourth quarter.

Wells had 2 goals for Wooster.  Adam Meyer made 13 saves and Paul Chander had 1 save for the Fighting Scots.
