Wittenberg won all 3 doubles flights and a pair of singles matchups to record a win over Ohio Wesleyan in a North Coast Athletic Conference West Division match on Saturday in Springfield.

Wittenberg swept doubles play.  The Bishops' No. 1 doubles team of sophomore Katie Lee (Chardon/Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin) and junior Ruthie Silberman (Deerfield, Ill.) lost to Sydney Khosla and P.J. Meyers by a score of 8-5, and the Bishop No. 2 doubles team of freshman Shanzay Ali (Powell/Boise (Idaho) Timberline) and sophomore Olivia Guenzel (Minneapolis, Minn./St. Louis Park) lost to Kathleen McGuff and Claire Stechow, also by an 8-5 count.  The No. 3 pairing of sophomore Erin McPherson (Akron/Ellet) and sophomore Alexis Yracheta (Chicago, Ill./Chicago Academy for the Arts) fell to Aliza Johnson and Olivia Norbut, 8-2.

The Tigers clinched the match as Johnson defeated Yracheta, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 6 singles and Meyers posted a 6-4, 6-0 win over Ali at No. 2 singles.
