DePauw 10, Ohio Wesleyan 5
Ohio Wesleyan 9, DePauw 3
Sophomore lefthander Ryan Ebeling (Dublin/Coffman) tossed a 5-hitter and junior outfielder Davis Graham (Canton/Massillon Jackson) knocked in 3 runs to help Ohio Wesleyan defeat DePauw in the nightcap of a North Coast Athletic Conference West Division doubleheader on Friday in Greencastle, Ind.
In the opener, freshman outfielder Edrick Padilla (Salinas, P.R./Perkiomen (Pa.) School) singled home a run to tie the game at 4 in the top of the sixth inning, but the Tigers scored 6 times in the bottom of the inning and went on to the win.
DePauw jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first inning of the nightcap, opening the frame with singles by Kyle Callahan, Charlie Patrick, and Cameron Macon to plate a run before a 2-run single by Nick Nelson later in the inning.
Ebeling bounced back to strike out Danny Glimco and Evan Barnes to end the inning, and was nearly untouchable after that. He retired the next 7 batters he faced before Glimco drew a walk and Barnes followed with a single with one out in the fourth, and Ebeling then proceeded to mow down the final 11 Tiger hitters in order.
The Bishops took the lead in the third with an RBI double by Graham and a run-scoring single by sophomore second baseman D.J. Neff (Grove City) before 2 runs scored on a throwing error by Tiger third baseman Macon.
Senior outfielder Cole Antle (Grove City) plated 2 runs with an infield single in the fifth, and Graham drove in 2 runs in the seventh when his shot back up the middle ricocheted off the foot of DePauw pitcher Drew Harding and into short left center.
Graham was 3-for-4 with 3 RBI, while Antle and senior catcher Zack Stiteler (Lewis Center/Olentangy Orange) each went 2-for-3.
Ebeling struck out 8 and walked 2 in working the complete game.

Padilla crushed a 2-run homer to give Ohio Wesleyan a 2-1 lead in the third inning of the opener, but the Tigers answered with 3 runs in the bottom of the inning, highlighted by a 2-run single from Danny Sheehan.
Graham plated a run with a fielder's choice in the fifth and Padilla singled in junior first baseman Izaiah Withrow (Carroll/Bloom-Carroll) in the sixth to even the score, but DePauw pushed across 6 runs in the bottom of the inning, with Macon delivering a 2-run single and Sheehan adding a bases-clearing double later in the rally.
Senior third baseman Austin Harper (Sycamore/Mohawk) smashed a solo home run in the top of the seventh.
Padilla went 3-for-3 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBI, while Withrow finished at 2-for-3.
