Three Bishops Selected to Men's Lacrosse All-America Teams

Three Ohio Wesleyan University men's lacrosse players were named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-America teams, it was announced today by the USILA.

Senior goalkeeper Zach Brasser (Westport, Conn./Millbrook (N.Y.) School), senior midfielder Conor McGeeney (Loveland/Archbishop Moeller), and junior defenseman Miles Rathell (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) were honorable mention All-America selections.

Brasser was named the North Coast Athletic Conference's Defensive Player of the Year.  He ranked second in the NCAC in goals-against average (7.19) and saves percentage (.579) and was an All-NCAC West selection this season.

McGeeney tied for 14th in the NCAC and led Bishop midfielders in goals (19).  He ranked fourth on the team and led Bishop midfielders in points (20) and was an All-NCAC West selection this season.

Rathell finished with 16 ground balls and caused 6 turnovers and was an All-NCAC West selection this season.

Ohio Wesleyan finished the season with an 8-1 overall record.  The Battling Bishops tied for first place in the NCAC West Division with a 5-1 record but lost a tiebreaker for the division title and a berth in the conference championship game.
