Five Ohio Wesleyan University men's lacrosse players were named to the All-Region 4 teams by the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association, it was announced by the IMLCA.
Senior goalkeeper Zach Brasser (Westport, Conn./Millbrook (N.Y.) School), senior midfielder Conor McGeeney (Loveland/Archbishop Moeller), and junior defenseman Miles Rathell (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) were first-team all-region selections; senior midfielder Andrew Mikes (Columbus/Upper Arlington) was a second-team all-region pick; and junior attacker Henry Hasenberg (Los Angeles, Calif./Loyola) was an honorable mention choice.
Brasser ranked second in the North Coast Athletic Conference in goals-against average (7.19) and saves percentage (.579). He was an honorable mention All-America and was named NCAC Defensive Player of the Year this season.
McGeeney tied for 14th in the NCAC and led Bishop midfielders in goals (19). He ranked fourth on the team and led Bishop midfielders in points (20) and was an honorable mention All-America and All-NCAC West Division selection this season.
Rathell finished with 16 ground balls and caused 6 turnovers this season. He was a second-team all-region selection in 2019 and an honorable mention All-America and All-NCAC West Division selection this season.
Mikes, a short-stick defensive midfielder, collected 16 ground balls and caused 4 turnovers this season. He was an All-NCAC West Division selection this season.
Hasenberg tied for second in the NCAC in assists (23), tied for fourth in points (44), and tied for 11th in goals (21). He compiled 17 ground balls and caused 7 turnovers and was an All-NCAC West Division selection this season.
Ohio Wesleyan finished the season with an 8-1 overall record. The Battling Bishops tied for first place in the NCAC West Division with a 5-1 record but lost a tiebreaker for the division title and a berth in the conference championship game.
