Ohio Wesleyan opened the game with a lay-in by sophomore guard Kasey Schipfer (Mechanicsburg), and the Bishops still led, 6-4, after sophomore guard Lauren Denison (Pataskala/Watkins Memorial) buried a 3-pointer at the 7:30 mark of the opening stanza.

After the teams traded hoops, Kenyon assembled a 7-0 burst that included a pair of buckets by Claudia Cook sandwiched around a Madelyn Anderson 3-pointer, giving the Ladies a 14-8 edge.  Kenyon would lead for the rest of the first half, going up by as much as 10 points, that on an Anderson 3-pointer that made it 37-27 with 3:23 to play in the half.

Kenyon still led, 44-39, after a Grace Connery 3-pointer early in the third quarter when the Bishops got lay-ins from Joiner, Delaney, and Joiner again to take a 45-44 lead.  It would remain a one-possession game until freshman wing Kelsey Wolfe (Apple Creek/Waynedale) buried a 3-pointer for a 58-53 Ohio Wesleyan lead late in the period.

The Bishops pulled away by opening the fourth quarter with an 11-0 run, getting lay-ins from Delaney and Denison, a Schipfer 3-point play, and lay-ins by Denison and Joiner that stretched the margin to 70-53 less than 4 minutes into the period, and the lead would remain in double figures through the remainder of the game.
